MindTree: Budget Reaction

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please find given below the budget reaction from MindTree. Also please
find attached his photograph.

Budget reaction Quote by Rostow Ravana, CFO, MindTree Ltd:

"The positive aspects of the Budget are:
1. Removal of FBT: This has been a longstanding request from Corporate
India, it was a tax that had marginal revenue impact and high
administrative costs.

2. Amending sec 10AA, which now allows full profits of the SEZ unit
from tax, as compared to proportionate profits which was the position
before.

However, the overall feeling is disappointment because there were no
policy directions of any sort coming from the budget and the huge
expenditure on populist programs where we have very inefficient
delivery mechanisms. Fiscal deficit growing to 6.9% of GDP is a big
concern, it will have downstream impact on inflation, interest rates,
currency, etc."
